is the very last book i read and ti was about a girl who help everyone who is upset in all sorts of ways and never judegs anyone of any sort of charcter. Emma-Jean loves to help and one fo the ways she helped a porson int the story is when a girl named Colleen wasint the bathroom one day crying by th sink and couldn’t go on the sking trip with her best friend because her friend invited another girl. She really wanted to go. But Emma-Jean fixed it and then she could go. I would reccamond this book because it shows true friendship.

Jane is a very strong girl. She got attacked by a shark one day at the beach when she was surfing. She just wanted to die and not have to go through life without an arm. If it wasn’t for her accident, she would have never met this guy named Justin. Justin showed Jane that there is more to life than having an arm or leg. Jane ended up loving life for the way she was.

Im reading a book called Lucky. It’s about a young girl and all her friends graduating 8th grade and they decide to throw the party of the year. With Phoebe’s mom losing her job and Ann forgetting to pay, they might not be able to afford it. When Kristyn explodes with anger, it just makes things worse by straining there relationship to the fullest. This party is for one night but friendship is forever. I would recommend this book for anyone.

The star of David, during World War II, was a marking that you were Jewish. Most Jewish people, during this time, hated wearing it because it meant fewer rights as a human being. In Yellow Star by Jennifer Roy, the star becomes a hero for 800 people, including Syvia Perlmutter and her family. It tells of Syvia’s hardships in the Lodz ghetto, which only 12 children waliked out of after liberation, alive, one of them being Syvia. Without her bravery the other 800 wouldn’t have survived. See how Syvia overcomes her fears to save 800 people in Yellow Star.

The Thing About Georgie is a very good book. It was the parts that stopped and made you do favors that were the best. The book sounded boring, but when i read it i loved it. The story really made you think about yourself. Georgie is a dwarf and people look at him like he is a freak. When him and his best and only friend get in a fight, and his mom is having a baby thats already half the size of a Georgie. He feels alone and unloved. The Thing About Georgie was a great book.

I am not usually a fan of nonfiction, but this book might change my mind. It covers the Civil Rights Movement, but it will tell you so much more than just the story of Rosa Parks. Be sure to look at the pictures of this book because the photos of the events are chilling. You will learn so much. For example, did you know two teens refused to give up their seats on the bus and were thrown in jail before Rosa Parks? Did you know that over 40,000 African-Americans rode the bus each? Did you know they stopped riding for over a year? This book will inspire you to stand up for what you believe in.

Jane’s life changes after a simple swim in the ocean. Now she wonders all the time if only . . . if only she hadn’t gone for a swim, if only she had stopped to help the overweight mom with her kids, if only the man who videotaped the shark attack had put the camera down to rescue her, if only the shark had bitten her brother, and if only the bite had been below the elbow. She wonders when the kids at school will stop whispering “Shark Girl” when she walks down the hall and when they will stop pitying her. This is not a depressing book because Jane works through her anger and sadness. She inspires us as she learns to live her life differently than what she planned.
